IBPS PO Syllabus and Exam Pattern Preliminary and Mains Exams 2016
Institute of Banking personnel Selection (IBPS) is going to conduct CWE PO/MT VI this year, 2016. The exam will be conducted in two stages namely the Preliminary and the Main Examination. In order to appear for Mains examination you must have to clear Preliminary examination.
In this page we will talk about the syllabus and exam pattern. The Preliminary and the Main Examination which is conducted in the month of October and November respectively.
Preliminary Exam
This examination will have three sections namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and composite time duration given is of one hour. The number of total question is 100, each of 1 mark. There will also be negative marking for every wrong answer which will be equivalent to ¼ of correct answer also there will also be section wise cutoff.
Main Exam
This examination will have three sections namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, Computer proficiency and composite time duration given is of two hour. The number of total question is 200, each of 1 mark. There will also be negative marking for every wrong answer which will be equivalent to ¼ of correct answer also there will also be section wise cutoff.

Spotting the errors, Phrase substitution, Ordering of sentences or jumbled up sentences. Double blanks in a sentence, Fill in the blanks. Cloze Test, Idioms & Phrases, Choosing the appropriate filler. Synonyms and antonyms, Reconstruction of sentence & passage. One word substitution, Commonly misspelled words, Comprehensions.
